He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Herring and Ruth Herring; his wife Beverly Briles; his son Michael Herring; his son-in-law Bob Southworth; his brothers, Rev. Ronald, Charles and Gerald "Bud" Herring; and his siblings-in-law, Sarah, Ada Herring, Clif Burton and Stephen Ketring.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Southworth and David Herring (Cheryl); his daughter-in-law Carol Herring; his siblings, Don Herring (Juanita), Bonnie Burton and Carolyn Ketring; and his sisters-in-law, Evelyn Herring, Rita Morris, Beth Bennett and Linda Briles. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services (259 N Main St, Upland, IN 46989). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the Jones-Smith Chapel of Armes-Hunt Life Celebration Funeral Home and Cremation Services (259 N Main St, Upland, IN 46989).
