She was predeceased by: her parents, Joe L. Nelson and Ruth E. Nelson (Murphy); and her sister Donna Mejia. She is survived by: her husband Edward E. Mitchell; her children, Edward E. Mitchell, III of Warren, Amber Logan (Mylon) of Jonesboro and Lisa Fannin of Marion; and her grandchildren, Justin (Allison), Adreana (Cody), Tyler (Ashton), Jessica (Arturo), Ashley (Spencer), Elizabeth (Ara) and Ben (Abby). She is also survived by 5 great grandchildren.
