He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "Tom" Simmons and Marie Simmons (Allen); and his brother Ronald Allen Simmons. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Simmons of Marion; his children, Lorie Wright of Marion, Jodi McCoin (John) of Marion, Chris Simmons of Converse and Greg Simmons (Lisa) of Marion; his brother-in-law Gary Bookout (Carolyn) of Clearwater, FL; his grandchildren, Billy Benbow, Tommy Wright, Dane Simmons (Celia), Drew Simmons (Morgan), Brennan Simmons (Mandy), Cade McCoin, Mallory Simmons, Jennifer McCoin and Taylor McCoin; his great grandchildren, Alexis, Marlie, Jaisa, Olivia, Cycillia, Finnlee, Saylor, Karter, Karsyn, Kyndal, Treyton, Braxton, Parker, Sawyer and Chandler; his cousins, Sharon Delaney (Pat), Becky Overholser (Terry) and Diana Simons; and his close friend Jeannette Spratt.
