With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vada S. Edwards-Bennett (Marion, Indiana), born in Olive Hill, Kentucky, who passed away on January 10, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Abbott and Avanell Abbott (Cartee); her husband Gerald Edwards; and her siblings, Douglas G. Abbott, Barbara Cline and Opal White.

She is survived by: her sons, Scott Edwards (Paulette) of Huntington, Michael Edwards (Sharon) of Fairmount, Cecil Edwards (Teri) of Las Vegas, NV, Jay Edwards of Marion and Travis Edwards (Ginger) of Gas City; and her siblings, Tom Abbott of Muncie, Curtis Abbott of Johnson City, TN and Diane Johnson (Gary) of Johnson City, TN. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Cancer Services of Grant County, Tower Suites, 305 S. Norton Ave., Marion, IN 46952.
