With sadness, we share the passing of Vera A. Ward of Marion, Indiana. Vera, born on July 18, 1936, passed away on September 17, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Smith and Hester Smith (Tinder); and her siblings, Milford, Paul, Herbert and Ruth Ann.
She is survived by: her husband Bob (Bob); her children, David Ward (Gina) of Dayton, OH and Diane Owen (Michael) of Marion, IN; her grandchildren, Jennifer Ward of Vandalia, OH, Janel Ward of Huber Heights, OH, Caleb Ward of Cincinnati, OH, Ross Owen (Christie) of Delaware, OH, Keaton Owen (Siri) of Lake Oswego, OR and Connor Owen (Stormie) of Marion, IN; and her great grandchildren, Samuel Owen, Harrison Owen, Silas Owen, Lenora Owen and Selah Owen. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 24th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and at 12:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel (1341 N Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952).
