He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul F. Strickland and Ruth L. Strickland (Pritchett); his daughter Kay Ellen Shively; his grandchild Eddie; and his daughter-in-law Charlotte Strickland.
He is survived by: his wife Norma Strickland (Small) of Marion; his sons, Jim Strickland (Debbie) of Marion, Bob Strickland (Charlotte) of Marion and David Strickland (Frank Bence) of Portland, OR; his sister Darlyn Lee (Tom) of Marion; and his grandchildren, Stacy, Marella, Stephenie, Charles, Tiffany, Bobbie Jo, Lisa and Paul Michael. He is also survived by 22 great-grandchildren; and 7 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM and at 3:00 PM at the Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral & Cremation Service, North Chapel (1341 N Baldwin Ave, Marion, IN 46952).
