She was predeceased by: her parents, Alta Martin and Carmichael; her husband Donald P. Smith; and her siblings, Clifford Martin, Robert Martin, Vivian Tesdahl, Mary Pendergrass and Wilma Frazee.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel P. Smith (Cathy) of Marion, Samuel R. Smith (Renee) of Stover, MO and Diana Scott (Mike) of Fort Wayne; her grandchildren, Troy Smith (Cindy) of Avon, Donald Scott (Deborah) of Fort Wayne, Todd Smith (Brenda) of Clarksdale, MO, Donald Smith (Pamela) of Springfield, IL, Robin Newhouse (Danny) of Marion, Michele Stoller (Clark) of Bluffton and Shawn Smith of Kansas City, MO; her stepgrandchildren, Mike Zajac (Rhonda) of Lewistown, MO, Matthew Losure of Marion, Chrissy Stefano (Rick) of Springfield, IL and Christine White (Andy) of Indianapolis; and her sister-in-law Norma Martin. She is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren; 16 step-great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren.
The family is requesting that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
