He was predeceased by: his mother Gwendolyn Atkins (Keen); his wife Elizabeth Ann (Selzer); his father George D. Atkins; his granddaughter Amy Jo Poling; his sister Jane A. Korporal; his daughters-in-law, Resa Breithaupt Atkins and Deanna Atkins; and his pet Jed.
He is survived by: his children, George D. Atkins (Vicki) of Marion, Randall L. Atkins (Diane Vande Voorde) of Fairmount and Shari K. Atkins of Noblesville; his grandchildren, George Caleb Atkins (Courtney), Christopher Shea Atkins, Amber Dillon (Bradley), Bradley Atkins (Brittany), Shelby R. Poe and Shauncee Lopez (Ryan); his grandson-in-law Timothy Jay Poling; his great grandchildren, Cody, Catelynn, Cobee, Cooper, Camyron, Cayeleigh, Gus, Grace, Allison, Kaden, Brooklyn, Alex, Ryan Elizabeth and Bridger; and his great great grandchildren, Lincoln and Aubrey. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and friends.
