He was predeceased by: his father Charles L. Bruton, Sr.; his sisters, Teresa and Teressa Bruton; his grandparents, Donald, Marguerite Weaver, Harvey, Margaret Bruton and Minnie Burnett; and his aunts and uncles, Robert, Donald, Michael Weaver, Willie Busby, Adiredra Wise and Shirley Weaver.
He is survived by: his mother Betty Ann Bruton (Weaver); his children, James Whitley and Maxie Rae Bruton; his grandchildren, Kamaria Bruton, KashMonae'Bruton, Jamiah Whitley, Gianni Whitley and Ramya Jordan; his great grandchildren, Divinity Rose Whitley and Jojo Whitley; his siblings, Cynthia Jones (Micheal), Monty Bruton (Shirley), Denise Stewart (Rick), Keith Bruton, Milton Bruton (Dawn) and Angela Horton; his aunts and uncles, Walter Weaver (Shirley), Mary Jo Barbour, Norma Bowlds (Charles), Flora Jean Busby, Darlene Evans (Dwight), Mary Alice Busby-Smith (Pat), Brenda Bruton, Arthur Busby and Clarence Bruton; his fiancée Patricia Johnson; his close friend Valerie Bruton; Lawrence Weaver. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM and at 1:00 PM at the Greater Second Baptist Church (705 W 26th St, Marion, IN 46953).
