He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Hill and Irene McGriff (Hill); his stepfather Junior McGriff; his sister Madonna Gonzales; and his grandson Joseph Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Joy Hill; and his sisters, Beverly Fondenberger, Esther Davis (Greg), Cassandra Nuncio (Rosendo) and Marion.
