He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Stephens and Lectie Stephens (Perkins); his sister Berniece Spradlin (Jack); and his son Robbie Stephens. He is survived by: his wife Frances D. Stephens (Steelman) of Marion; his daughter Pamela Stephens; his stepchildren, David Joy (Qin) of Carmel and Nancy Hannah (Steve) of Fishers; and his stepgrandchildren, Nick Joy (Danielle), Lindsay Joy-Wenning (Jason), Justin Hannah (Katie), Melissa Vogt (Jon) and Christopher Hsu (Sophia). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
