Arloene Lavon Leafgreen Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Arloene Lavon Leafgreen of Marshall, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 29, 2025 at the age of 100. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Esther Staggs (Whelchel) and Edgar Staggs; her sister Ellie (J. William); and her son Mark. She is survived by: her son Craig (Kathy); her grandsons, Paul McAuliffe (Roberta), Gordon Boyd (Peggy), Eric (Ghedi) and Sean (Stephanie); her stepgranddaughters, Kristen Collins (Travis) and Lyndsay Champion (Matt); her niece Connie Timmons; and her nephew Andy Balser (Linda). She is also survived by four great-grandchildren and a great-great grandchild.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Machledt & Servies Funeral Home - Waveland (301 Green St, Waveland, IN 47989). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Machledt & Servies Funeral and Cremation Services (301 Green St, Waveland, IN 47989).
Donations in Lavon's memory may be made to the Indiana University School of Medicine to support heart research. Memorial gifts should be payable to "IU Foundation – Heart Research" and mailed to Indiana University School of Medicine, c/o IU Foundation, P.O. Box 7072, Indianapolis, IN 46207, indicating "In memory of Lavon Leafgreen".
