He is survived by: his children, Carole Smith (David) of Indianapolis and Benjamin Brian Peacheen of Indianapolis; his sister Donna Gump of Bend, Oregon; his grandchildren, Michael Greene, Nicholas Greene, Zachary Greene, David Greene and Donna Peachee; and his great grandchild James Ward.
Known for his generosity, he took care of those around him, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, when he bought and delivered groceries to many in need.
