He was predeceased by: his parents, John L. Johnson and Della Mae Johnson (Stearns); his daughter Charlotte Johnson Ashburn; his sister Betty Sander; and his grandson Michael Ashburn.
He is survived by: his wife Penny Johnson (Fann) of Martinsville; his children, Patrick R. Johnson (Becky) of Martinsville, John Michael Johnson (Paula) of Martinsville, Jeremiah Carl Johnson (Misty) of Indianapolis and Dawn Horock (Tom) of Mooresville; and his siblings, Jerald L. Johnson (Faye) of Ft. Myers, Florida, Charlotte Weida of Franklin and Marilyn Stich-Scott (David) of Plainfield. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center (110 E Poston Rd, Martinsville, IN 46151). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church-St. James, 3417 8th Ave., St. James, FL 33956 for hurricane restoration.
