He is survived by : his stepdaughters, Debra Atherton (Greg), Kelly Chandler (Paul), Bethany Sluis (Norman) and Sheree Herd (Eric); his grandchildren, Leandra Jean Wallace and Joshua Samuel Herd; his great grandchildren, Sully Mitchell, Lillie, Ozzie Herd and Griffin Wallace; and his brothers, Floyd Ritz (Carolyn), Thomas Ritz (Rhonda) and Karol E. Ritz (Patty).

Visitation was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Adams Family Funeral Homes & Crematory (110 E Howard St, Crothersville, IN 47229). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at the Vernon Cemetery (315 S Pike St, North Vernon, IN 47282).
