He is survived by: his children, Harold Hechinger (Barbara), Christina Smith (Tim) and Stefanie Cain (Kipp); his stepchild Carmen Naak (Roland); his brother Frederick Hechinger; and his granddaughters, Samantha Smith, Justine Smith and Nicole Cain.
