He was predeceased by: his parents, Everett Edgar Barr and Gladys Lorene Barr (Bell); and his sister Denise Szaro. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Ann Barr (McDonough); his daughters, Sherri Ripley and Lynette Overton (Roy); his grandchildren, W. Thomas Hughes (Janna), Heather Pickens (Tyler), Stephanie Creath (Cody) and Kimberly Hash; and his great grandchildren, Xander, Colton, Kathryn, Eliana, Alessandra, Grant, Adalynn and Briar.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Grace Baptist Church (2320 N Smith Pike, Bloomington, IN 47404). A funeral service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery (3295 IN-252, Martinsville, IN 46151).
