She was predeceased by: her parents, Jimmy Trissel and Sarah Trissel; her husbands, John and Marion (Dude); her children, Butch, Larry, John Alan, Debbie Hartzler and Linda Dransfield; and her sisters, Waneta Wigner, Anna Mae Couch, Virginia Hunter and Rosemary Clark.
She is survived by: her children, Joan, Ron Baughn (Debbie) of Knoxville, David Baughn (Mona Green) of New Point, Indiana. and Jack Hartzler (Janice Baughn); her grandchildren, Melinda Bundy (Chris), Lori Zoller, Michael Hartzler, Stephanie Hart (Jamie), Christopher Land, Jacque Cregar (Benjie), Tracy Land, Carrie Jones (Chris), Katie Hobbs (Scott), Brad Baughn, Beth Anne Baughn (Nicole Todd), Blake Hawkins, Adam Hawkins (Michelle), Amy Hawkins, Brandon Baughn and Ryan Dransfield; and her pet Suzy. She is also survived by twenty-three great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren.
Joan's request was that donations be made to her home church, River Valley Church in Martinsville, Indiana in lieu of flowers.
