He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerome "Jerry" Thomas Cahill and Marjorie "Margie" Rose Cahill (Schuster); his brother Thomas Cahill; his great-niece Allie Marie Schafer; his brother-in-law Delbert Dennis; and his nephews, Danny and Tony Dennis.
He is survived by: his children, Charlie Cahill (Nikki), Claire Johnson (Mustafah), Emma Gibson (Chad), Martha Gordon (Craig), Molly Alliston (Craig) and Caroline Owens (Scott); and his wife Roberta "Robbie" Cahill (Clark). He is also survived by his six children and their spouses; 18 grandchildren; and his six siblings.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Branson Funeral Service & Crematory (6107 S East St, Indianapolis, IN 46227). A Mass was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Barnabas Catholic Church (8300 Rahke Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46217).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Franciscan Hospice House.
