She was predeceased by : her parents, John William and Nellie Edith Bales (Peters); her spouse Dale Loren Bennett; her sons, Sidney Dale Bennett and Jeffrey Lee Bennett; and her siblings, Rosemary Deckard, Ivan "Buddy" Bales, Melvin Bales and Richard "Rich" Bales.
She is survived by : her grandchildren, Dan Bennett of Martinsville, Matt Bennett (Jenna) of Martinsville, Marc Bennett (Amy) of Martinsville, Elizabeth Lindsey (Anthony) of Martinsville and Whitney Spencer (Dillon) of Martinsville; her siblings, Sharon "Shani" Ennis (Richard) of Martinsville, Bill Bales of Martinsville and Maurice "Doc" Bales (Terri) of Martinsville; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Bales of Martinsville, Shirley Bales of Martinsville and Pam Bales of Martinsville. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren.
