He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald L. Chestnut and Nora G. Lowe; his brother Donald Eugene Chestnut; and his uncle Donald R. Ramsey. He is survived by: his adoptive daughter Kathy Baker; his niece Jennifer Chestnut; his stepmother Wilma Chestnut; his aunt Laura Ramsey; his cousin Tim Ramsey; his close friend Josh Jett; Preston, RaeAnn and Bryce.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to defray funeral expenses.
