She was loved and cherished by many people including: her husband Ronald Wanamaker; her children, Wayne Wanamaker, Linda (Martin Kestle) and Mary Lee Wanamaker; her grandchildren, Jason Wanamaker (Katie), Kathy (Mario Folino), David Wanamaker, Katie Kestle (Joshua Doyle), Emily Kestle (Thomas Grcevic), Thomas Kestle (Lauren Mitchell) and Victoria Augustine (David Conca); and her great grandchildren, Hayley, Lincoln Folino, Quinlynn, Ava Wanamaker, Lilly and Silas Doyle.
If desired, memorial donations may be made to Kingsview United Church in Oshawa or Matthews House Hospice in Alliston where Leona spent her finals days surrounded by family and caring staff.
