Sharon Ruth Metzger Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 5, 2025, at the age of 89, Sharon Ruth Metzger of McCordsville, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, H. Murray Petty and Ruth E. Petty (Bell); and her husband John F. "Jack" Metzger. She is survived by: her sister Kathie; her children, Susan C Miles of Indianapolis, IN and John S Metzger of Noblesville, IN; her caregiver Kathleen M Petty of McCordsville, IN; her brother Steven M Petty of Monroe, MI; her grandchildren, Mary Theurer (Kurt), Hope Drake (Josh), Julia Kemen (Marc), Sharon, Jack-Danel Metzger and Na'il M Metzger; her great grandchildren, Annabeth, Ellarose, Juliana Kemen, Nora Theurer, Abraham, Hank Theurer and Bouyo Aldiouma Metzger; and also Aysettu Serata Sow.
Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the D. O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home (8325 Covington Rd, Fort Wayne, IN 46804). A funeral service was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be made to Girls Scouts of America, or Riley Hospital for Children.
