He is survived by: his mother Dorothy Russ; his wife Amanda R. Dodson; his children, Thea Sanford (Jimmy Sanford), Tabatha Monk (Mikhail Jefferson), Jasmine Dodson (Blake Snyder) and Emmitt Dodson (Simone Wasick); his grandchildren, Tristen, Tyten, Tinley, Temperence, JiVonni, JiAirè, Talen and Violet; his siblings, Laurie, Sherwood, Richard, Ronald, C. Jack, Telly-Jo and Duane; and his pets, Sassy Sue and Baby Willy. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
