He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Poisel and Ruby Poisel (Williams); his wife Joyce Burton; and his daughter Lynn Marie. He is survived by: his daughters, Carrie Barron (Jarrod) and Michelle Gunderman (Matt); and his goddaughters, Theresa Hoover (Dave) and Faith Shirk. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Thursday, August 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Medaryville Christian Church (112 S Jefferson St, Medaryville, IN 47957). A funeral service was held on Friday, August 28th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Medaryville Christian Church.
