She was predeceased by: her parents, Claudie Edwards and Nancy Edwards (Ferguson); her husband Earl Root; her siblings, Archie, William, Roy and Belle; her daughter Paula Moore; and her grandchildren, Johnny Miller, Ashley Barker and Earl Root, Jr..
She is survived by: her children, Becky Fields (Robert), Charlotte Moore, Earl Root, Jr. and Teresa Bowman (Shawn); her grandchildren, Jessica Pope, April Verble, Michael Moore, Heather Lacey, Brandon Moore, Maegan Moore, Scottie Barker, Scylar Barker and Craig Bell; and her siblings, Robert Edwards, Irvin Edwards, Lorene Rivers, Janet Root, Linda Butler and Wilma Sumpter.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (2005 S Main St, Vallonia, IN 47281). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 15th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Family of Roberta Root.
