He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde L. Alderfer and Patricia A. Alderfer (Mellinger); his former wife Katherine Banghart; his siblings, Danny, Dennis and Lisa Alderfer; his brother-in-law Calvin Davis; and his mothers-in-law, Carol and Ellen Workman.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Alderfer of Mentone; his daughter Nicole (Shawn Dunnuck) of Colorado; his stepchildren, Meagan (Andrew Paseka) of Convoy, Ohio and Michael Workman of Mentone; his grandchildren, Baylee, Kassaday, Dominic and Morgan; his stepgrandchildren, Ethan, Emiley, Paige, Josh and Carlee; his sisters, Becky Davis of Warsaw and Carol Alderfer of Warsaw; and his brothers-in-law, Brent Workman, Kenny (Missy Workman) and Bruce (Karen Workman). He is also survived by 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
