He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Alderfer and Patricia Alderfer (Mellinger); his siblings, Danny and Lisa Alderfer; and his siblings-in-law, Calvin Davis and Kathy Alderfer.
He is survived by: his children, Heather Bentley of Warsaw, Tiffany Bentley of Mentone and James Alderfer of Arizona; his grandchildren, Makayla, Kaiden, Harper, Brody, Lyric, Bryelle, Angela, Hanna, Hailey, Lily and Mason; his siblings, Becky Davis of Florida, Carol Alderfer of Florida and David (Brenda Alderfer) of Mentone; and his close friend Dean Quier.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, December 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Mentone Fire Station (201 W Main St, Mentone, IN 46539).
Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the funeral home to help with expenses.
