He is survived by: his wife Maria Concha Ruano; his children, Jose Alfonso Ruano (Rachael) of Cynthiana, KY, Sandra Ruano (Mario) of Mokena, IL, Jorge Ruano (Juany) of Schererville, IN and Gabriel Ruano (Jennifer) of Crown Point, IN; his grandchildren, Arissa, Joel, Fox, Madeline, Gabriel Andres, Lesley and Emily; and his siblings, Chelo Rangel (Polo) of Gary, IN, Amparo Berumen (late Abel) of California, Luis Hernandez (Connie) of California, Lupe Sepulveda (Alberto) of Chicago, IL, Andrea Araujo (Jose) of Crown Point, IN and Manuel Hernandez (Janine) of Hammond, IN. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
