She was predeceased by: her parents, Quince Ola Lobdell (Sims) and Clarence Lobdell; her husband Herman Trass, Sr.; and her siblings, Sylvester, McKinley Lobdell and Delpha Ann Lobdell.
She is survived by: her children, Tracy Fields, Erika Smith (Marc), Angela Engleking and Herman Trass, Jr. (Jasmine); her siblings, Clarence Lobdell, Jr., Mentha Dickerson, Almetter Crawford, Delpha Roberts and Gwendolyn Sims; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Fields (Alexis), Samatha, Jayson, Douglas Smith, George, TiErika, TaJuan Hunt, Layla and Ayden Trass. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 PM at the Ridgelawn Funeral Home (4201 W Ridge Rd, Gary, IN 46408). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the same location.
