Elinore Joan Melle Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Elinore Joan Melle (Merrillville, Indiana), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 28, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Roland L. Melle; her parents, Emery J. Gabor and Winifred Gabor; and her brother Robert Gabor. She is survived by: her children, Leonard Melle (Barbra) of Indiana, Robert Melle (Stephanie) of Tennessee, Diana Whisenand (Larry) of Lowell and Susan Reed (Fred) of Tennessee; her sister Carolyn Gabor; and her daughter Shire Kochert (Dave) of Crown Point. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild.
