It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Helen M. Topel of Merrillville, Indiana, who passed away on July 11, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dennis Carroll and Ellen Carroll (Ahern); and her siblings, Joan Carroll (Bob), Eugene Carroll and Mary O'Sullivan (Gene).

She is survived by: her husband Richard Topel; her daughter Mary Ellen Preusser (Raymond); and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Nathan and Raven Preusser.
