He is survived by: his wife Marysue; his children, Dr. Melissa Buggie (Jeff Jamrosz), Ivan Antal (Brenda) of Whitwell, TN, Gail Schwinkendorf and Christina Weldon (Jesse) of Portage, IN; his grandchildren, Nathan, Grace Jamrosz, Kayla Taylor (John) of Signal Mountain, TN, Kyle Antal (Sidney), Kirk Antal, Jasmine Schwinkendorf, Kaitlyn Davis (Matthew), Alyssa Torres, Elizabeth Royer and Emily Waddell; his great grandchildren, Elliott Neff, Cooper Antal, Addison, Greyson Davis, Ezekiel Torres and Adaiah Royer; and his sister Donna Antal.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A vigil service was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 at 5:00 PM at the Geisen Funeral, Cremation & Reception Centre (606 E 113th Ave, Crown Point, IN 46307). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Our Lady Queen of Martyrs South Campus (8303 W Taft St, Merrillville, IN 46410).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association and the American Kidney Fund.
