Jane K. Modrak Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jane K. Modrak (Merrillville, Indiana), who passed away on June 20, 2023 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanley Jagiela and Mary Jagiela; her husband Deacon George Modrak; her siblings, Edward (Adeline), Stanley (Connie), John, Caroline, Rose, Walter Jagiela, Mary Monti and Dorothy Olson; her grandsons, Jeffery and Daniel Walla; and her sons-in-law, Deacon Ted Kotz and Jeff Shebesta.
She is survived by: her daughters, Georgina Kotz (late Deacon Ted), Janine Walla (Robert), Roselene Simone (Barry), Therese Hazel (Dale) and Christina Dravet (Richard); her grandchildren, Rob Walla (Teresa), Kate Shebesta, Lisa Louks (Doug), Beth Magura (Joe), Nick Simone (Lindsay), Luke Simone, George Dravet (Michelle), Tim Dravet (Elizabeth), Lyn Dravet, Mark Dravet (Kayla), Katherine, David, Mary Dravet, Theodore Kotz, Robert Kotz (Blessing) and James Kotz (Jaclyn); and her sister-in-law Alice Jagiela. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Jane's name to Another Christ Burse, St. Joseph Carmelite Home, or Indiana Right to Life.
