He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Hampton and Florence Hampton (Walker); his granddaughter Carla McCloud; and his siblings, Zula Hampton, Ila Stevenson (Tom), Jewell Oliver (Troy), Carolyn Elam (Olen), Lowell Hampton (Louise) and James Hampton (Margaret).
He is survived by: his former spouse Shirley Ann Crum; his spouse Avalon Johns Everhart; his sister Betty Patton; his sister-in-law Margaret Hampton; and his children, David Hampton (Kristy) of Owensboro, KY, Tammy Wheeler of Greenfield, IN, Cindy McCloud (Ken) of New Palestine, IN., Daniel Everhart of Indianapolis, IN and Kathy Blankenbaker (Dan) of Yorktown, IN.. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren.
