It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Perry of Merrillville, Indiana, born in East Chicago, Indiana, who passed away on May 22, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband William J. Perry; her sons, Dale E. Perry and Thomas A. Perry; and her close friend Dr. Allen B. Sokol. She is survived by: her children, Philip Perry (Trudy), Ruth Perry, Carol Rinas and Jane Guzman (Ruben); her grandchildren, Sandi Kerr, Philip Perry, Michael Perry, Heather Mateja, Courtney Perry, Taylor Perry, Tabitha Anderson, Ashley Perry, Logan Perry and Morgan Rinas; her great grandchildren, Ariel Kerr, Holly Kerr and Asher Perry; her stepgreat-grandson Caden Hoyme; her daughter-in-law Linda Perry; and her brother John Curtis.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given in Joan's name to the Alzheimer's Association.
