She was predeceased by: her husband Richard Gaines Sr.; her parents, Albert Peters and Louise Peters Sr.; her stepfather Joseph Steiner; her granddaughter Taylor Healey; and her brothers, Richard and Thomas Peters.
She is survived by: her children, Richard Gaines Jr., Deborah Soffa (Todd), Kathryn Healey (Stephen), Peter Gaines and Steven Gaines; her grandchildren, Tyler Soffa (Teodora), Grace Soffa, Antimony Healey and Isla Healey; and her brothers, Albert Peters (Bettie), Henry Peters and Eugene Peters (Michele). She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Donations may be given in Susan's name to Holy Martyrs Catholic Church.
