He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carl and Ethel Halcomb (Allen); his son Gregory Halcomb; his grandchildren, Caleb and Sara Cox; and his siblings, Evelyn Halcomb, James A. Halcomb and Gene Halcomb.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Sue Ison; his children, Lisa Smith of Laurel, Jeff Cox of Laurel and Gary Cox of Connersville, Indiana; and his siblings, Donnie Halcomb of Metamora, Joe Halcomb (Lucy) of Metamora and Mary Hacker (Gene) of Metamora. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Metamora Church of God.
