Gregory Keith Gulstrom Obituary
Gregory Keith Gulstrom, 69, of Michigan City passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 22, 2024 at his home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Root Funeral Home. Private family burial will take place at a later date in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 - 4:00 pm. at the Root Funeral Home. A time to celebrate his life will be held after services starting at 5:00 p.m. at the Michigan City D.A.V., 2301 Ohio Street, Michigan City, Indiana 46360.
Greg was born September 29, 1954 in Michigan City to Kenneth and Lillian (Zygmuntowski) Gulstrom.
On November 4, 1978 in Munster, Indiana he married Sherry Phipps Gulstrom who is surviving in Michigan City.
Also surviving are two loving daughters, Shantell (Erron) Dingman and Tara (Sean) Towner; five cherished grandchildren, Lillian, Zakary and Braxton Dingman and Claire and Cooper Towner; one beloved sister, Valerie Heinz; and many loving and cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Joyce Hensell; and two brothers, Gene and Kent Gulstrom.
Greg retired after 39 years in beer industry. He started as a beer truck driver and worked his way up to Sales Manager.
In high school he played the trumpet in his high school band the City Limits. The old band got together and played again for the reunion of the class of 1973. Greg also played after high school in the Brass Menagerie Band. He loved sharing his talents playing music and listening to his favorite band "Chicago.". His greatest enjoyment though was spending time with his loving family and being outdoors and working on his gardens.
Memorials may be made to then International Botanical Gardens in Michigan City.
