He was predeceased by: his parents, William Sims and Helen Sims; his brother Bobby; his daughter Suzanne; his wife Rhoda Ann; and his brother Donald.
He is survived by: his sons, Patrick and Christopher Sims; his grandchildren, Brittany Fox, Chase Meyer, Zack Sims, Brett and Cory Sims; and his great grandchildren, Emma, Owen Fox, Amelia Sims, Penelope, Leo Sims and Aarah Sims.
