He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank D. Avery and Ethel E. Avery (Hamilton); his wife Patsy A. Fields; and his siblings, Pauline Whiteman, Iris Grosswiler, Wilma Cohee, Mary Curnett, Mary Avery and Dale Avery.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gail Ann Quakenbush of Frankfort, Kathy Neal (Larry) of Frankfort and Diana Brown (Dennis) of Flora; and his caregivers, Carrie, Erica, Danielle, Mia and Cassie. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Goodwin Funeral Home (200 S Main St, Frankfort, IN 46041). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 4th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
