He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold V. McKinney and Vera McKinney (Beard); his spouse LaRose "Rosie" Newell; his brother Ned McKinney; and his grandson Connor McKinney.
He is survived by: his children, Melissa Shuey (Ryan) of Kokomo, Jason McKinney of Fort Worth, TX and Lora Smith (Kyle) of Noblesville; his sister Carol Weaver (Bert) of Frankfort; his grandchildren, Hannah Perkins (JP), Abigail Avila (Wilman), Karson, Kellen Smith, Katelyn Smith (Conner) and Haley Shuey; and his great grandchildren, Mateo Avila and Braylin Smith.
Memorial donations may be made to the Michigantown Christian Church or the Michigan Road Community Library.
