He is survived by: his parents, Thad Hoffman and Stephanie Hoffman (Barnd); his sister Reyna Hoffman; his grandparents, Gary, Sharon Hoffman (Reitz), Larry and Charlene Barnd (Carver); his parents-in-law, Lance and Jill Miller (Troyer); and his siblings-in-law, Dustin, Morgan Yoder (Miller), Collin and Kelly Barker (Miller). He is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, Hunter's desire was for memorial contributions to be made to the Puerta de Esperanza Care Point in Guatemala City, Guatemala where he traveled on a mission trip and fell in love with the world change happening there.
