He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Cook and Anna Cook of South Lyon, MI.. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Cook (Musser) of Middlebury; his daughters, Sabrina List of Indianapolis, IN and Amanda Behncke (Ted) of Abingdon, MD; his grandchildren, Abigail, Jack and William; and his sister Jill Dieffenbach of Fayetteville, NC..
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Miller-Stewart Funeral Home (1003 S Main St, Middlebury, IN 46540). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 19th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (720 S Main St, Middlebury, IN 46540).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Indiana American Legion Foundation (indianalegion.org) or First United Methodist Church in Middlebury, IN.
