John D. Shay of Middletown, Indiana passed away on October 2, 2026. John, born on July 24, 1947 in Muncie, Indiana, shared life alongside family, friends, and others. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
John will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. John’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his wives, Pamella K. Shay and Linda Lee Shay; his parents, John F. Shay and Georgianna Shay; and his sisters, Rose Marie Shay and Linda Nora Brown.
He is survived by: his siblings, Michael Shay and Rebecca Shay; and his stepdaughter Amanda Clouse. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and special friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM at the Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory (200 W 53rd St, Anderson, IN 46013). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
