He was predeceased by: his parents, Lowell Thomas and Violet June Powell (Davis); and his uncle Howard Davis. He is survived by: his wife Cathy; his daughters, Angie Marcum (Tim) of Wilkinson and Wendi Evans of Middletown; his grandchildren, Zachary of Wilkinson, Megan Marcum (Bruce) of Wilkinson, Daleanna of Muncie and Cody Evans (Lily) of Muncie; his great grandchildren, Noryeon of Muncie, Nolan of Muncie, Nehemiah of Muncie, Navari Jackson of Muncie, Amirah and Abbygail Evans of Muncie; his siblings, Melanie McCabe (Dick), Wade Powell (Jo) and Clay Powell (Debra); his close friend Bentley Cole of Middletown; and his daughter Pam Lane of Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Middletown Church of the Nazarene in Rod's memory.
