He was predeceased by: his parents, Leighton Lewis and Crystal Helena Haynes (Keesling); and his siblings, Harold Leighton Haynes and Wilma Cory. He is survived by: his wife Reba Ernestine Haynes (Sutton) of Middletown; his children, Gary Leon Haynes of Greensboro and Cristy "LeAnn" Chesher (Randy) of Middletown; his brother Gerald Haynes of New Castle; his grandchildren, Shelby Haynes and Byron Haynes; his stepgrandchild Darci Gray (Brinton); his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rylan Gray and Bristol Gray; and his great grandchildren, Waylon Haynes, Rylee Haynes and Jaxon Hobbs. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services- Middletown (118 S 5th St, Middletown, IN 47356). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the 6th Street Christian Church at 146 N. 6th St. Middletown, IN 47356.
