He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Darling and Emma Darling (Keesling); his father-in-law Harold Ehrhart (Muriel); his sister Barbara Poston (Kenny); his nephew Perry Poston; and his pet Buddy Darling.
He is survived by: his wife Jill Ehrhart Darling; his daughters, Andrea Smith (Wayne) and Carrie Ellen Darling; his grandchildren, Drew Pickett (Taylor), Seth Pickett (Kimberly), Evan Pickett (Jade), Shannon Smith, James Smith and Jon Smith (Kelli); his brother-in-law Charles Ehrhart (Jean); and his pet Georgia Sue Darling. He is also survived by five great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services- Middletown (118 S 5th St, Middletown, IN 47356). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 from 12:30 PM to 1:00 PM at the Miller Cemetery (6615 W County Rd 850 N, Middletown, IN 47356). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home (118 S 5th St, Middletown, IN 47356).
