He was predeceased by: his father Virgil High; his brother Billy High; and his close friend Bobby Mundell. He is survived by: his mother Doris Bancroft (Defreese); his children, Amy Holmes (Gary), Melissa Cantrell, Christina Pierce, Jacob High and Michelle High; his grandchildren, Tristan Anderson (Dakota), Josie Anderson-Hartwell (Caleb), Jennifer Baker (Keegan), Iris High and Ella Reeter; his great grandchildren, Felix Baker, Florence Baker and Frazier Baker; and his sisters, Mary, Laura Mae and Vicki.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Ballard and Sons Funeral Home and Cremation Services- Middletown (118 S 5th St, Middletown, IN 47356). A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location.
