He is survived by: his wife Georgia Phillips (Stamper) of Milan; his children, Lonnie Phillips (Rena) of Milan, Amy Phillips of Milan, Rachel Davis (Don) of Aurora, Teresa Hayes of Jonesboro Arkansas, Jodi Phillips of Warsaw, IN, Jeanna Brock of Cincinnati and Julie Roberts of Cincinnati; his siblings, Chester Phillips of Peppertown and Freda Feller (Charlie) of Brookville; and his brother-in-law Leonard Sims of Milan. He is also survived by 24 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be given in honor of David to the family or Milan First Baptist Church.
